Intimate in character, Little Governors’ Camp has just 17 tents set in a tranquil and secluded spot. The camp is spectacular, and captures a part of every visitor’s heart. All bedrooms are en suite, and the tents overlook a large waterhole, teeming with birds and animals.
Dawn is the best time to be out in the savannah to catch the game as it wakes, and as evening approaches, it’s time for chilled drinks and tall tales around the blazing campfire. To round off a superb day in the African bush, settle down for a delicious, candlelight dinner and grab a hot water bottle to warm your bed.
For an all-round unique experience, enjoy game viewing adventures from the Governors’ hot air balloons.
The adventure begins just before dawn. There is absolute stillness as you float above the plains.
The sounds below drift clearly upwards, a lion’s roar or an elephant crashing through the bush. At the finish of a balloon safari enjoy a champagne breakfast in the bush cooked on the balloons burners.
